LAND CARE Rolling: Presses ground evenly, moderately increase soil density to improve conditions for capillare liquid movements in soil Chain harrowing: Superficially cultivates top layer of soil, drag out old vegetation and prepare soil for next season or another operation Power or disc harrowing: Deliver similar effect as other harrowing operations, just more radical Rotavating: For very hard dense top soil- disintegrates cumulated aggregates, brings air into top soil layers and light up top layers in soil profile Dung spreading: Areas used for crop or grazing should receive nutrition back, preferably in its natural form. Fertilising: Inorganic way of soil nutrition. Products supplying N:P:K in various ratios - usual (20:10:10) or (14:14:14) encourages exhausted soil to accommodate plants needs to secure rich biomass Spraying (selected products only- call for more info)- Inhibiting of selected species (I.e. Buttercup, Ragwort etc.) when their appearance can decrease or damage health of animals grazing on the land. Ploughing: Turns top soil layers to increase aeration, improve soil consistency and prepare for following operations or for winter. There is not necessary need for ploughing every year Re-seeding: Radical change of grown biomass requires re-seeding of plants, eventually dense-up already existing plant cover. Plain reseed is to be made on specifically prepared soil and is matter of weather and seasonal convenience. |
